Ajedium's beta scanning is used for 100% of our film and sheet products:

• Continuous

• Real-time

• Full-width (including all center sections)

• Full-length (from beginning to end of each roll)

• Exceptional accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility

Ajedium implements this technology for two key purposes:

1. Provide QC verification in graphical and statistical formats to our customers: Verification of 100% of the film/sheet gauge measurement to exceptional accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility throughout the entire width and length. For a normal length roll, the continuous scanning results in hundreds of scans per roll (each scan consists of approximately 500 individual data points) resulting in thousands of verification data points for each roll. Based on customer requirements, the reports can be generated in multiple formats to include individual scans, statistical calculations, compiled scans, and complete roll reports.

2. Provide closed-loop automated processing by the beta-scanner working in conjunction with Ajedium's auto-flex film die gap controllers and line speed controllers. This technology enables the extrusion process to be self-monitoring, self-adjusting with excellent process control.
